Getting into cosplay has never been so easy.
Check out some of our kit features…

Choose Your Size

No matter what size project you are looking to undertake, we have the perfect starter kit for you. Each kit comes with all the essentials minus a few items you may already have laying around the house.

SMALL – Create unique details such as masks, jewelry, headbands, bands, crowns, weaponry, horns, cuffs, goggles, details and much more.

MEDIUM – Make one-of-a-kind pieces such as, visors/helmets, bracers, greaves, belts, gauntlets, pauldrons, weaponry, cowls, shields, & helmets.

LARGE – Assemble large items such as chest armor, helmets, breastplate, pauldrons, crowns, weaponry, arm/leg armor, gauntlets, boots, & shields.

Cosplay Foam

Each of our kits comes with high density EVA foam, that can often be difficult to source locally. This material is used as the backbone of most cosplay armor, weaponry, accessories, decoration, embellishment and more. This dense foam is heated, making it pliable and easily shaped, while keeping it’s shape once cooled. Take a look at some of the qualities that make CraftCosplay foam perfect to work with:

  • No texture on either side
  • Has a smoother surface making painting and finishing easier
  • Tear resistant and more durable
  • High-density for flawless cutting
  • Promotes strong bonds when glued
  • Several thicknesses available in every kit

Adhesives

DAP Weldwood’s Contact Cement permanently bonds the cosplay foam pieces to one another. Simply coat each surface of the pieces you intend to adhere to each other. Let completely dry for five to ten minutes or until the contact cement is no longer sticky or wet. Sometimes, a second coat can be used to ensure that the cosplay foam didn’t absorb adhesive and that a solid coat is applied on the surface.

Once dried, be careful not to touch the surfaces to each other until you are ready to adhere. Press the pieces together and ensure the seam is as tight as possible. Once one of the two sides come in contact with the other, the pieces will be permanently adhered. The bond is so strong that when trying to separate, it is more likely that the cosplay foam will rip before the joint will fail.

Instructional PDFs

Don’t think we would just leave you high and dry with a whole bunch of supplies and material with no direction. We include a basic instruction booklet that correlates directly to the kit you chose. Each instruction goes over gathering supplies, definition of new materials, working safely with the supplies, finishing techniques and more.

Worbla is a German brand of non-toxic thermoplastics that come in sheet and pellet forms. Each of our kits feature a sheet large enough for the appropriately sized project. From armor builds to fabric manipulation, Worbla products are designed to help you build faster than traditional materials might allow, with a far more forgiving margin of error.

When heated, Worbla plastics become pliable, adhesive and moldable – simply mold into the desired shape and allow to cool. Worbla plastics can be heated endlessly and have no shelf or pot life, require no specialized tools or ventilation, and can be used in small workspaces and classrooms without extensive safety gear.

Downloadable Templates

We want to make sure that getting started for a new cosplayer is an easy and fun experience, so we have created a series of templates meant to get you moving in the right direction form the get go. Each downloadable template is scalable and printable form your home computer and allows you to view both cut-lines and optional detail lines through layered PDFs.

Each kit comes with the information you need to login to the CraftCosplay site and gain access to the digital template files.
